Dignowity Hill Historical District

Hays Skyline View is located in an amazing historic district named Dignowity Hill which is very close to downtown San Antonio. Dignowity Hill was originally one of San Antonio's first upper-class, exclusive residential areas tracing its history to 1854 and its founder, Dr. Anthony Michael Dignowity. There are still many large mansions around the neighborhood tracing back to the 1800s.

The original home of Dr. Anthony Michael Dignowity was known as Harmony House and was located directly across the street from Hays Skyline View. Unfortunately the home is now gone; his property has been turned into the 9 acre Dignowity Park pictured here.

Today Dignowity Hill is seeing an amazing resurgence and, according to Zillow, is the hottest area for real estate in San Antonio.
